Special Nisyros with Nikia Mountain Village

Excursion Overview

The island of Nisyros is famous for the volcano and for it's wild beauty and striking colors.

We depart with the boat from Kardamena to Nisyros, which takes only 45 minutes.

Then a short bus journey takes you over 2000ft into the breathtaking terraced hills before descending into the valley where the volcanic crater lies.

You can walk inside the caldera and see the bubbling mud-holesand steaming springs of this active volcano!

Then we visit Nikia, a mountain village on the island.

It's known for its unique architecture, including flat-roofed white houses with brightly colored doors and windows, creating a visual contrast with the volcanic landscape. 

The village is perched on the edge of a semi-dormant volcano's caldera, offering stunning views of the Aegean Sea and the volcanic landscape. 

The island remains untouched by mass tourism, preserving its traditional charm and serene atmosphere.
